In honor of the “ber” months….
As we head towards the Fall and a change in season, this is a great time to take a step back and consider how your schedule and lifestyle will be impacted.
A challenge many people face is suddenly being in the midst of change without the tools, strategies, or support needed to navigate that time of year or life stage. This can result in feeling “off track,” frustrated, and discouraged leading you to the point where you look back at things and feel disappointed in the lack of progress and upset with how you feel.
We encourage you to take some time to evaluate and think about the next 2-3 months. A few questions to ask and answer:
- What are you expectations?
- What challenges might you be faced with?
- How can you make your environment supportive during this time of year?
This is meant to be a gentle way to plan ahead so that you can show up for yourself during this time of year in a way that supports your goals and health.
It can be tough to make these things a priority when schedules are hectic and time is tight.
Here are a few ideas to help you be proactive and successful during this time of year:
- Schedule time into your calendar or set alarms to remind you to do certain things like workout or meal prep. Even an alarm to remember to eat or drink water during a busy day can be helpful!
- Write out some helpful mindset reminders to help you stay encouraged and motivated to work on your goals. Post these by your bathroom mirror or desk so that they are visible.
- Plan out food options/meal for the week. Something is always better than nothing! Try prioritizing what protein and veggies options you can at least have on hand to ensure these components can be easily added to meals/snacks.
- Get support! Remember – you don’t have to do this alone! If you’re struggling to make progress throughout this time of year and the holidays it will be so worth getting some extra support so that you can feel better & get results.
