It’s great to meet you! My name is Carly and I’m a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist. Nutrition can be a complex topic and the media can sometimes overwhelm us with information. I’m here to help you navigate the “ins and outs” and cheer you on during your health journey. I believe in finding balance to create sustainable behaviors. To me, eating should be an enjoyable experience and a source of fuel to help us tackle the day. My goal is to help you find the balance you need to enjoy your favorite foods while achieving your health goals. My experience is in weight management and medical nutrition therapy (diabetes, cardiovascular disease, PCOS, GERD, etc.). I’ve had the pleasure of teaching a variety of nutrition classes, ranging from recipe makeovers to addressing the emotions behind eating. This experience has been valuable as it helped me broaden my expertise and develop strategies to overcome the physical and behavioral barriers that may hinder our relationship with food. My goal is to prioritize YOU and use tools geared towards YOUR health goals to create sustainable habits that fit into your everyday life. I strive to provide encouragement and find ways to make this experience valuable and fun. To me, it’s not about how quickly one finishes the race. It’s about what was accomplished along the way and this is the way I like to approach each session. No matter how small the change is, it is a “win” in my book! I look forward to working together.
In my free time, I enjoy cooking, baking, and reading. I really like to experiment with new recipes. I have a rescue dog named Milo who I spend a lot of my free time with!
Educational Background
I received a Bachelor of Science in Community Health Education with a Nutrition concentration at the University of Scranton. Upon graduation, I pursued a Master of Science in Nutrition at Marywood University and worked as a nutrition educator in a community nutrition setting. I completed my dietetic internship with Sodexo and selected a critical care concentration. Most of my experience is in clinical nutrition.
